Oratorio, Cabaret, and More
Katie Jillson performs in a wide variety of vocal styles and repertoire. A classical singer from the beginning, Katie performs much of the solo oratorio repertoire. Katie has performed oratorio works by Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Poulenc. In addition to the classical repertoire, Katie enjoys performing music in the cabaret-style. Katie has performed works by Kurt Weill, Friedrich Hollander, Kander and Ebb, and Poulenc. Within the cabaret style, Katie performs much of the classic standards from the American Songbook.

Church Cantoring, Weddings, and Funerals
Katie Jillson has been an active liturgical singer for the last 20 years. She has been an active member of the music ministry at St. Ignatius of Loyola of Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts since 1999. In addition to cantering weekly masses, Katie has been a regular cantor of weddings and funeral liturgies at St. Ignatius. She has sung for hundreds of wedding and funeral ceremonies over the last two decades. In Katie’s work, she brings joy, compassion, understanding, and healing to her singing to create a memorable ceremony for all families. Her work in liturgical environments is one of the passions of her singing career. Katie has also sung in many surrounding churches in the Boston area including- Trinity Chapel at Boston College, in Newton, MA, St. Anne’s Parish in Quincy, MA, St. Anthony’s in Allston, and St. Joseph’s in Needham. Katie is musically skilled in all denominations.
